Come Enjoy Meditation
Everyone is welcome to meditate at Lake Shrine. Guided meditations provide a good way to start, and the first fifteen minutes of the Sunday and Thursday services in the Temple offer monastic-led meditations. On Wednesdays at noon a 30-minute guided introduction to meditation is offered in the Windmill Chapel. Additionally, the first hour of the Friday evening meditation, on the first Friday each month, is a guided meditation. Longer meditations are also available on Friday and Sunday evenings. Individual meditation is available in the Windmill Chapel and on benches around the Lake. See the monthly calendar for details.

Children receive meditation instruction and experience as part of their Temple Sunday School instruction, and events throughout the year offer opportunities for families to meditate together.
Creating a spiritual space in the home supports individuals and families in the daily practice of meditation. Representatives serving in the Gift Shop or Bookrooms are happy to offer ideas that help design personal sacred corners or altars.
When attending group meditations please dress modestly and comfortably, arriving in the spirit of relaxing into stillness, to maximize the enjoyment of peace in body, heart, and mind.
