Saturday, December 8, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Everyone is invited to Lake Shrine Temple’s annual Christmas Party. Let us gather together in the spirit of Christ to celebrate our spiritual family. There will be activities for children, a Christmas meditation, a vegetarian potluck featuring enchiladas, tamales, and other Mexican delights, along with spiritual entertainment, including storytelling and Christmas carols.
6:00 pm – 6:45 pm Everyone gathers in the Courtyard for appetizers around a festive fire pit while Christmas music sets a joyful atmosphere.
6:45 pm – 7:15 pm For adults, a Christmas meditation led by Brother Satyananda, in the Sanctuary. For children, ornament making in the Foyer and Christmas tree decorating in the Special Events Room.
7:15 pm – 8:15 pm Potluck Feast* in the Special Events Room and Courtyard where all gather for a Mexican feast, a variety of vegetarian salads and desserts, along with chai and herbal tea.
8:15 pm – 9:00 pm Everyone gathers in the Sanctuary for a special Christmas skit, followed with seasonal storytelling, and an inspirational Christmas message. The evening will close with Christmas Carols in the Courtyard.
*The Temple will provide enchiladas, vegetarian tamales, rice and beans, along with chai and other beverages. Guests are requested to bring a vegetarian ready-to-eat salad, appetizer, or dessert, in a disposable container, that will feed 6-8 people.
Parking will be available in the Temple lot. The Lake lot will be closed.
