Lake Shrine Today
Dear Lake Shrine guests, summer is in full force and although the Lake Shrine is near the coast temperatures combined with humidity have been high. There is a new water fountain outside the Gift shop providing cool, filtered water and another water fountain by the Visitor Center off the court of religions. Please take care, cover up and stay hydrated.
Dear Guests, We are happy to announce that the Houseboat is open for Saturday morning meditations. Saturday hours are 9:30am until 11:30am
When you seek God, make even a short meditation so intense that it will seem you have spent hours with Him.
— Paramahansa Yogananda

Sunday, September 2, 2018
For Janmashtami 2018, Lake Shrine is preparing a special celebration for Lord Krishna. Special services have been designed to encourage people to appreciate Lord Krishna’s artful blend of divinity and humanity. Lord Krishna was a millenium man–a cowherd, a kshatriya, a prince and king, a diplomat–and for most of us, an avatar on our altar as one of our paramgurus. For more details on this special day, click HERE!
